Although I'm busy at the moment producing interesting lighting designs with LED light fittings that probably don't exist (yet), I'll be taking an hour out on Tuesday afternoon (26th August) to host a Twitter session - what the Twitterati call a Tweet Chat, or so I'm told. This is all because I'm presenting a talk on Sustainability at the forthcoming ILP Professional Lighting Summit on Thursday 25th September and the ILP has encouraged me to get involved in this Twitter Taster - taking questions from all you lovely people about the burning sustainability issues of the moment.
The session will be mediated by my good friend Jo Harding.
The subject of my talk at the ILP Summit is titled "Sustainability: they seek it here - they seek it there." I'll be offering an overview of what Sustainability is all about; how the UK construction industry is responding to it; and what the UK lighting industry could usually engage in to keep its place around the project table.
And remember: "Sustainable development meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs".
All you have to do is this:
1. Be logged into Twitter.
2. Be following the ILP ( twitter address: @the_ilp )
3. Use the hashtag #ILPsummit.
4. Tweet away - and don't be rude (or we'll tell your mum)
Looking forward to hearing from you on Tuesday.
And for more information on the Summit itself, you can find all you need to know about it HERE
