The lighting rhythm of an historic space needs to be maintained by any modern refurbishment. Here, the original lighting locations are retained with new fixtures providing a higher level of illumination than the room has ever seen before.
Of course, this is all about light and shade. The building designer had an eye of where the available light would flow – we’ve held to that original vision.
