Every now and again it’s necessary to introduce 21st century techniques into an historic context. Here is a room that has multiple uses – banqueting, conferences, exhibitions and the lighting needs to reflect the various uses. The chandeliers contain both general lighting, via the fabric halos, and highlighting, via the central basket of downlighting. The decorated ceiling is feature-lit using concealed cold cathode lighting around the cornice. Lighting levels are controllable, and white and blue cold cathode lighting provides exciting visual options.
